What is an artificial intelligence (AI) winter?

Artificial intelligence is a concept that was coined in 1956 with evidence that shows the concept of “thinking machines” has roots before this date. So, why is it that some of us think of AI as a “new” technology? Well, that has to do with a concept called AI winter which I explain in this video.
